Acupuncture and TCM Therapies
Acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine practices can be a great way of balancing your health and taking care of your well-being. These modalities are based on centuries of practice, engaging principles of yang sheng (live well live long) and a sophisticated system of managing wellness.

Acupuncture
The use of fine delicate needles to stimulate the body's systems to work optimally, regulating disharmony, providing symptom relief and getting the body in flow.

Moxabustion
The use of mugwort to provide a healing deep heat into the body for therapeutic purposes. This can be applied directly, on the needle or held close by to produce the desired effect.

Cupping Therapy
This ancient technique is used to draw out toxins, release muscle tensions and stimulate acupuncture channels.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
These practices are used to support your well-being and have a rich history dating back more than 5000 years.
As the practitioner I am qualified to degree standard, licenced by the local authority and insured to practice. I am a member of professional bodies that regulate our profession, holding high standards for code of conduct and ethics. I gained my BSc(Hons) Acupuncture in 2012 in York. The professional bodies I belong to are the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority.
Health conditions seen in clinic
As these treatments regulate the systems of the body, they can often be helpful for many health conditions. As a result, I will often work with a wide variety of health conditions in clinic, including:
* Anxiety and Depression
* IBS
* Headaches and migraines
* Natural or assisted fertility
* Pregnancy care
* Hay fever
* Menopausal transition
* Stress
* Sleep issues
* and much more
However, there are conditions where these treatments may not be suitable. Therefore it is helpful to have an initial conversation by telephone or email to discuss your needs.
